In the history of sport Adidas plays an important role: it has paved the way for so many great athletes in all disciplines, creating shoes and dedicated clothing always at the highest level and also economically supporting the most; great talents.Everything started; in a small town near Nuremberg, Germany: Herzogenaurach. There a certain Adolf Dassler in 1920 began; to think about shoes dedicated not only to sport (which already was a novelty;), but to shoes created specifically for every existing sport. Adolf Dassler thought, in fact, who can; blame him today, that every sport needed a really specific shoe and started; to design a pair of athletic shoes in his small shop. Dassler was an athlete and participated in or personally followed most of the great European athletics events of the era: it was so; who succeeded; to put at the feet of the athletes of the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics his first studded shoes. In 1936 during the Berlin Olympics Jesse Owens shoes Dassler shoes: he wins 4 gold medals and sets new world records in all competitions in which participates in. It is; the first real triumph of Dassler shoes.
The two brothers Adolf and Rudolf then decide to split up.
Adolf, Adi for friends, founded Adidas (from Adi-Dassler) in 1948 and Rudolf founded another shoe factory called Puma. The Run DMC the famous three side stripes of Adidas shoes were created to keep the sole more; stable, but soon became one of the most symbolic; recognizable of the Adidas brand: shooting in the clothing and wherever it was possible, they quickly gave recognition; to the brand and contributed to the success of the company. The brand most worn by athletes at the recent Beijing Olympics was ADIDAS .
