TECHNOLOGIES

- ADDICT OVERSIZED BOTTOM BRACKET : To improve power transfer our engineers developed a unique intersection of the downtube and bottom bracket that is wider than any other road bike currently on the market. This larger cross section allows for better load handling and makes for a stronger structure. It also increases pedaling efficiency and power transmission.

- HOLLOW STRUCTURE : The entire frame kit is hollow and has a totally clean interior to maximize weight reduction.

- SANDWICH DROPOUTS : The dropouts of the new Addict RC integrate into the thru-axle system thanks to the design of the tubes and the simple and light structure.

- SEATPOST CLAMP : Our ultralight seatpost clamp weighs only 12g and allows for a dedicated carbon fiber clamping system. This allowed us to save even more weight on the seatpost (seatpost weight 142g).

- EVO-LAP TECHNOLOGY : With the appropriate selection of materials, 80% of the work to create a frame is already done. instead it is the remaining 20%, which requires most of our efforts. Our choice to use the most advanced carbon fibers is followed by an intensive use of specific tools, such as the FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software, which allows to map the positioning of the sheets. With the FEA software we can simulate different forces on a virtual model of the chassis and adapt its structure accordingly. The software allows us to create complete virtual prototypes incorporating all the physical phenomena that occur in the real world. With our Evo‑Lap technology we model the frame to optimize the surface area, we simulate tube structures with differently oriented layers, we observe the result of using different setups and we test the stress distribution in various areas of the frame. Thanks to this extensive computer modeling, we have optimized the carbon layers in all the components of our frame. When the parts were joined in the first prototypes, the result was a super light and compact frame that doesn't sacrifice stiffness, comfort or impact resistance. The entire range has benefited from our Evo‑Lap technology.

- INTEGRATED CABLE ROUTING : The new Addict RC and Foil feature fully integrated cable routing for both mechanical and electronic shifting. This has been achieved by our engineers without compromising shifting or braking, or head tube stiffness. Plus, it's surprisingly easy for mechanics to change cables and maintain the bike.
