VEGA Ski Mountaineering Boots

Vega Man is the advanced four-buckle ski mountaineering boot dedicated to ski mountaineers and free-riders looking for the perfect combination of the power, control, resistance and precision of a downhill boot, with the qualities of mobility, maneuverability and lightness of a new generation ski mountaineering boot. The shell is made of light and resistant Grilamid® Carbon Renforced while the patented carbon-loaded Vertebra Technology™ locking system constitutes a structural part of the boot and facilitates the transmission of power downhill thanks to the exceptional “125-Flex” fl exibility qualities. shell mobility equal to a total of 60° of excursion, combined with the accentuated rolling and the patented EZ Flex™ joint system of the inner shoe, accentuate the walkability of the product, which can also be used for technical passages on rocks and slippery terrain thanks to the integral dual-compound Vibram® sole /double density. Adjustment system applied to the vertebra: allows you to adjust the inclination of the knee-high stocking in 3 positions: 10°, 14°, 18°.

TECHNOLOGIES

G-Shell™
Super compact hull with only 303 mm in length, size 27.5. Made of lightweight Grilamid® which allows the thickness and weight of the boot to be reduced while maintaining structural solidity. The knee-high has an unprecedented mobility equal to 60° total degrees with closed hooks (30° forwards + 30° backwards) the innovative Rear Diffuser guarantees greater stability and safety of the ankle when the shell is closed in the forward position.

Cuff
The Dual-Axis Cuff™ bi-axial cuff is made up of 2 synergistic elements: 1) a double density Pebax® cuff and double Climbing System Control™ hook which provides lateral stability control and increases the articular excursion of the ankle in phase uphill, 2) the patented Vertebra Technology™ locking system loaded with carbon: a structural part of the boot that facilitates the transmission of power downhill thanks to its exceptional flexibility (115-Flex). The addition of an asymmetric rear spoiler allows you to perfect the tuning of the boot and the position of the foot in the shell.

Walking Profile
The bi-axial cuff provides 60° range of motion and the shell configuration makes the boot compatible with the AT binding system, with TECH bindings. The 17 mm ramp-angle offers wearing comfort even after many hours of use.

EZ Flex™ Tongue
Tongue in bio-based Pebax® Rnew® with bellows joint: a concept deriving from La Sportiva mountain boots which allows a wide range of motion on steep slopes. A snow guard is placed under the hinge. The tongue position can also be adjusted to 3 positions, customizing the fit through a range of 4 mm which can significantly impact the fit and walking comfort.

4BT Tech Last™
The neutral shape with an internal width of 102.5 mm keeps the foot in a comfortable position to tackle very technical terrain. Similar to the shape used on Spitfire, Siderale Statlet but wider for greater comfort in the front part and at the fifth metatarsal.

WarmSole™ Insert
Removable internal insole in insulating polyurethane: avoids direct contact of the foot with the shell, increasing the thermal properties of the boot and making it the warmest 4-hook on the market.

EZ-TECH Buckles™ (patented)
Aluminum hooks with micrometric arm for micro-adjustments designed to speed up closing and opening operations.

Power Strap
Strap band that allows you to further tighten the shell and fix it even more securely around the leg to face any descent.

Vertebra Technology™
Patented carbon-filled Grilamid® vertebra. It constitutes a structural part of the cuff and guarantees maximum safety and precision in "Downhill mode", downloading the power from the leg to the shell and to the ski for decisive and powerful descents.

Walk/Ski Mechanism
Immediate closing system for switching from Ski to Walk mode in one quick movement: patented.

Vibram® Outsole™
Dual density/dual-compound Vibram® sole with soft 85 shore inserts at the toe and heel to facilitate climbing on technical passages. Centering system with spacer that allows easy and quick attachment to the attack.

V-LINER
Pre-shaped liner on the shape of the shell, provides immediate comfort. Thermo-formability gives the ability to further customize the fit if necessary.
