The Wildfire Edge are technical approach shoes that can be adapted from hiking mode to climbing mode. Designed together with mountain guides and professional climbers from the Dolomites, the Salewa Switchfit system is simple and intelligent. Just tighten the laces in the back eyelet and fasten them. In this way, you push your foot forward towards the toe, compressing the toes as if it were a climbing shoe. After climbing, loosen the laces in the rear eyelet for more toe space and greater comfort on the hike. To further improve the precision of the climb, the Wildifire Edge insole also incorporates a plate just under the toes, for greater rigidity, while the rest of the sole is flexible, to ensure comfort and natural movement of the foot. For added grip and friction in both dry and wet conditions, the Pomoca Speed MTN sole is made from a butyl compound. The outsole has a climbing precision zone at the toe, good edging and aggressive grooves that offer better traction on mud and soft ground. For improved torsional stability, the Exa liner works together with the 3F system to wrap the foot for flexibility, good fit and support. Climbing laces reach up to the fingers, allowing for a more precise fit and greater adjustability.
