The MTN Trainer 2 Leather of Salewa was designed in Montebelluna, a town on the slopes of the Dolomites where the footwear manufacture for the mountains was born.
Low alpine approach shoe, it is sturdy and versatile, with a sturdy suede upper and Vibram sole, suitable for intense use. The upper features a complete protective rubber ring that ensures abrasion resistance on rocky terrain, while the high quality, breathable and soft full-grain leather lining absorbs moisture well. The skin adapts to the shape of the foot and is very comfortable to wear, especially in hot weather, even if it takes a little longer to dry. The new shape construction guarantees a comfortable and more flexible fit, while the PU foam midsole ensures shock absorption and long-lasting cushioning.
The multifunctional Vibram Mtn Trainer Evo sole promotes stability and agility, while the deep grooves and aggressive blocks guarantee excellent grip on rocks and scree, but also optimal traction on mud and grass. Under the midfoot, before the heel, there is an area for via ferratas with specific anchors at right angles, for better grip on the rungs of the stairs.
The exclusive 3F system connects the instep area with the sole and heel, in order to ensure flexibility, precise fit and support. The climbing lacing system can be precisely adjusted at the tip; in addition, there is a protective elastic gaiter under the laces that does not allow rain and water to enter the ground. The shock-absorbing Ortholite insole removes moisture and together with the leather upholstery helps keep the foot cool.
MTN Trainer 2L is the perfect solution for the alpine approach in technical excursions, via ferrata and trekking, especially in hot weather.
