X ULTRA 3 MID GTX®

Sales champion shoe, the X ULTRA ™ MID 3 GTX has evolved to offer superior performance to hiking enthusiasts. Thanks to the Descent Control technology, it energetically tackles the technical paths, giving its best on the most demanding descents. Wear it and launch downhill with the turbo on your feet, even in wet conditions.

Hold - The improved shape works in synergy with the upper part of the SensiFit ™ system, keeping the foot comfortably still especially when running downhill.
Stability and cushioning - The Advanced Chassis ™, covered in shock-absorbing foam for greater comfort, is directly connected to the sole to stabilize the heel.
Grip- Two different types of rubber, for better grip. The special insert at the heel adheres better to the ground, offering greater control especially on descents.

TECHNOLOGIES

CHASSIS: Advanced Chassis ™
In addition to optimizing motion control and energy management, the ultra-light Advanced Chassis ™ placed between the sole and midsole improves foot protection during the push phase, for a reactive, effective and stable roll.

UPPER CONSTRUCTION: SensiFit ™
The SensiFit ™ structure wraps the foot from the midsole to the lacing system, ensuring a precise, secure and practically personalized fit.

MEMBRANE: GORE-TEX®
GORE-TEX® keeps your feet dry, both inside and outside.

FEATURES

  • Chevron anchors: Deep grooving and multidirectional adhesion to improve traction on soft surfaces such as mud or loose earth.
  • Contagrip® TD: Designed to offer maximum traction on mixed terrains and ultra resistance, the Contagrip® TD sole combines a deep and aggressive tread with our most resistant compound.
  • EnergyCell ™: High performance EVA foam for excellent shock absorption.
  • PU coated leather: Polyurethane coated leather, which protects it and makes it more robust, making it last longer.
  • Waterproof materials: The waterproof material cannot be permeated by water even under pressure. Waterproof shoes completely prevent water from entering through the upper.
  • Mesh and fabric lining: Soft and breathable lining for extreme comfort.
  • Gusseted tongue: The tongue, combined with the upper on both sides, remains well centered and prevents debris from entering the shoe.
  • Tip protection: A rubber, leather or synthetic protection in the toe area.
  • Protective mudguard: A layer of leather, synthetic material or rubber around the base of the foot that protects the medial and lateral sides.
  • Molded OrthoLite®: The technology of the OrthoLite® insole guarantees maximum cushioning, unparalleled comfort, breathability and resistance; it also represents one of the most economical solutions to improve the comfort and performance of footwear.
  • Regular lacing: Traditional lacing system with eyelets.
