Fischer Ski is a leading Austrian manufacturer of ski and ski equipment ( ski boots, poles, bindings ). Fisher Sci was founded by Josef Fischer in 1924, the headquarters is located in Ried im Innkreis in Austria, while the factories are located in Mukachevo in Ukraine. The first Fisher skis, produced in 1924, made entirely by hand were unique specimens. In 1938 Fischer Ski exported 2,000 pairs of skis to the United States and in the early 1970s became the largest ski factory in the world. According to FIS data, in the 2007/08 season Fischer Ski was the most successful ski brand of all. Today Fisher Ski is synonymous with cutting-edge technology and high quality , specializing in Nordic skiing.
